Arubans believe financial corruption is rife within the country, and has increased in the past 12 months, according to a new survey from the central bank.
The Central Bank of Aruba’s annual corruption survey revealed 94% of respondents believed corruption was “widespread”, up from 81% in 2019.
“In 2020, considerably less respondents said that the problem of corruption was rare and/or that there was no corruption, compared to the previous two years,” the central bank added.
